Progress Better By Practicing Guitar Progressions

What we have covered up until now are the basics of playing the guitar. It's very important that you master first the basics before jumping in to advanced guitar lessons and techniques because you simply won't go anywhere if your skill set isn't complete. It's like going to a war without enough ammunition or proper training. The chance of survival is very slim.

You don't want something like that to happen, don't you?

Of course! Our aim here is for you to get ahead of your guitar playing - to become better and to become good at it. So, i'd like to remind you once again to develop that habit of practicing with your guitar even for just a few minutes a day and never ever take the basics for granted.

I want to make this guitar blog as a valuable resource for your guitar learning. In that context, I am looking into the possibility of adding more interactivity in this blog. You've probably seen the progressions that I have provided for you to practice. To make it better, I would like to add its audio equivalent to serve as your reference. So, whenever you see the progressions, you can also hear what it sounds like in just a click. You can listen to it over and over or you can go ahead and play along with it.

Let me give you an example.

Below is a simple chord progression for practicing the D-Family of Chords. I would assume that you already know how to read the musical notations written in the following progression. If not, feel free to browse through my blog posts.

This progression is played as down, down-up, down, down for each of the chords. Now, you can hear what it sounds like by simply clicking the play button on the audio player below. Go on! Try it!

Press the play button to hear how the progression is played:

That's it! :)

Now, tell me. What do you think about this?
